Ho King-Yau is my grandson. My purpose is mainly to train his patience; at the same time I teach him to recite Chinese poems. This is my first experience teaching calligraphy to a six years old child and the result is surprising. Usually kids under ten years old seem too young to learn this art because calligraphy needs a lot of patience, concentration and discipline; he proved me wrong. After attending two calligraphy lessons, he is eager to learn more calligraphy and poems.
