Introduction

Taishan City, Guangdong Province, China
"There were thirteen of my disciples exhibiting their work in Taishan Museum; seven of them are from Western origin and six of them of Chinese origin. Seeing the level of their work, you will agree that they had to study hard and be really devoted to this art. After more than a year of preparation, with the great support of the Taishan Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau, the Taishan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television, Press and Publication and the Taishan Museum, this exhibition has been made possible. My disciples and I would like to express our deepest gratitude."
"This exhibition was held by the Taishan Museum in October 2018. It was a great joy for me to exhibit my work in this museum, close to my native village Naling. The fabulous collaboration from all the personal at the Taishan Museum and the government officials, at all levels, made this exhibition a great success. The exhibition artbook and the inscription cards of the artworks published by the Museum were in three languages: Chinese, English and French. The exhibition could thus be seen as an international cultural exchange event. To everyone who contribute to this wonderful art event, thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"As a warm welcome for the whole cultural delegation the People's Committee of my native village Naling organized a traditional Lion Dance with music provided by the Naling Village Student Orchestra. My students and I were given the warmest reception and sharing this event with you will keep alive in our minds this wonderful souvenir."
Ngan Siu-Mui, 2018
