Thematic Painting Workshops :: 2005
It is said that a Chinese artist "writes a painting and paints a calligraphy".
Thematic Painting Workshops are designed to introduce a special subject or a special project in Chinese painting. The workshops can be attended by anyone.
The participants will experiment the Traditional Chinese technique in using Chinese brushes and colors; they will also learn the proper way of choosing Chinese art tools and materials. Each workshop has a different theme such as: birds, flowers, fishes, animals or landscapes.

Program (5.5 hours)
- 10:00am to 12:30pm
- Identifying and choosing material and tools for Chinese painting
- Demonstration and practice of painting: posture, respiration, brush handling
- 1:30pm to 4:30pm
- Closely supervised practice

- Tuition fees for each workshop: $80 (+tax = $92)
Miscellaneous informations
- Material and tools are provided during the workshop. A printed painting sample is included.
- The number of students is strictly limited to 12.
- Reservation: please confirm your seat by sending your cheque payable to Ngan Siu-Mui (postal address), at least one week before the first workshop.
